This local resteraunt in the cute little walled town of Monteriggioni pretty much typifies Tuscan cooking at its traditional best. We initially went here on the basis of our villa.

Cucina tipica toscana, molto ben fatta, con antipasti generosi, primi con pasta fatta in casa (da provarsi i ravioli ripieni di carne, fatti al cartoccio col tartufo), carne alla griglia e in arrosto. La carta dei vini è ottima. Il servizio corretto. La spesa è fors'anche inferiore a quello che uno si aspetterebbe. Merita la visita.

They all enjoy complete independence and privacy, and have a beautiful panorama over the vineyards and the woods that cover the nearby hill.
